I wanted to kick of the new year by sharing a few pieces on my 2018 wishlist. Ever since my surgery, I've been thinking a lot more about the direction of my style and wardrobe and though I've always been a huge proponent of ONLY keeping the pieces that I love, I'm practicing that a lot more now more than ever!
I've been cleaning my closet and selling things like crazy -check out my Poshmark closet here- and have found a few gaps that need to be filled with basics like simple but cool ankle boots, black sunnies and everyday gold hoops which are always a classic but currently a huge trend!
Additionally, if you've been following my blog and various social accounts then you would know that I'm always about getting the best quality for the lowest price possible. So keep your eyes open to what goodies I end up scoring for the LOW because girl, you know we don't pay retail right??

I finally sat down to compare two of my favorite luxury tote bags: the LV Neverfull and the Goyard St. Louis. Both are great and have their own charm but be sure to check out my video to get more details on which I think is actually worth the investment! xX
So it's Wednesday, December 21st, just short of 3pm & I'm perched on the couch, leg propped up and iced. If you follow me on IG or on my YouTube channel then you would know that last Friday I had foot surgery, better known as a bunionplasty, or to us non MD's, bunion removal surgery. I slowly acquired a bunion on my left foot that had been getting progressively worse over the years and as the pain became unbearable, I knew surgery was the only option.
So I say this with love:
TAKE CARE OF YOUR FEET! And yes, I realize that sounds both weird AND obvious, but it was something I neglected to do! Taking of your feet -and your body for that matter- is more than just bi-weekly pedicures, exercising and eating healthy. And though I take pride in doing all of those things, I failed to realize the importance of wearing good quality -and TRULY comfortable- shoes. And no, good quality does not necessarily mean expensive!
So for the next 8 weeks or so, I'll be wobbling around with a boot and crutches slowly trying to regain strength and balance in my left foot. And though I've definitely had a few moments of regret, I know it'll be worth it in the end.
Thank you all for the lovely get well wishes + comments as they truly mean the world to me.
Happy Holidays! -C
