5 Home Decor Must-Haves

If you follow me on Snapchat {@chanelfiles} then you would know that I spent my entire Halloween night & Sunday morning putting together my new bed. With the help of my mom {i.e. the real MVP}, a trip to ACE hardware, & a unexpected visit to the local lumber yard, I finally revealed my new bed along w/ a few other edits I've made around my room Sunday afternoon.

Little did I know that in sharing my newly updated space I would receive countless questions & "OMG, I love your room!" messages on Snapchat & Twitter. Along with numerous questions about my new bed I also received a few about where I found my gold pig bookends, my new 'C' marquee light, & the infamous fur rug you've seen all up-and-through my IG feed -it truly makes for the perfect photo background.-

Nonetheless, here's a few details about my room along with my top 5 home decor must-haves!

1. My room is small. So when choosing a new bed, I was a bit weary on how much wall space it would take up. I looked everywhere from Pottery Barn {way overpriced} to Restoration Hardware but finally decided on this set from Target. And though the headboard is quite large, it didn't take up as much space as I thought. I HIGHLY recommend!

2. Accents are EVERYTHING. I'm a lover of all things gold and mirrored so my pig bookends & mirrored tray adds the perfect noticeable touch without being too overwhelming.

3. Faux fur: chic, elegant, & just plain fabulous. I can't tell you how luxe having a fur rug is. Being that we have hardware floors in our house, area rugs are a pretty big deal. So when I spotted one at Costco {similar here & here}, I just knew it was coming home.

4. I was recently in Target & spotted their new alphabet marquee lights. I've ALWAYS one for my room but never knew where to find them. So when I spotted these & saw that they were only $15 {now on sale for $10!}, I threw it in the bag & kept on going. I plan on getting another letter this weekend.

5. Fresh flowers. I'm a sucker for em'. It's almost unexplainable what a vase of fresh flowers does for a room, but it just does something. Trader Joes has amazing options from $4 ro $10 & if I had to choose one thing that's an absolute MUST from this list, it's undoubtably a bouquet of fresh flowers.
