It’s been a while since we’ve last spoken. Let’s catch up, shall we?

So where do I even begin?

If you caught my last post, then it won’t be much of a surprise that I’m approaching creating content in a renewed way, His way.

Extended time offline never fails to challenge me to prioritize what actually matters & if I’m being completely honest, most of the things I often found myself being consumed with simply just doesn’t.

Creating, editing, liking, linking, posting, sharing, — along with every other monotonous task attached to having an online presence, has unquestionably lost its luster & now more than ever, I find myself questioning what it all even means. What does it actually matter? What weight does it carry into eternity & most importantly, is God being glorified?

The acquirement of things. The posting of things. The sharing of things. The talking of things; though fun at times, has become somewhat futile & erroneous in light of what I’ve been compelled to share.

Simply said, desire to profess Christ in these last days has increased. My conviction to profess His goodness, His holiness, His righteousness & His soon & imminent coming has become a weight that my spirit that I can no longer carry & because of that, everything else has fallen to the waist-side.

The bar has been set & the assignment has been given. My desire is to simply be an obedient vessel for the kingdom of God & that’s really just what it is.

And though I’ll still be incorporating fashion bits here-and-there, it no longer takes precedence across my platforms.

Where does one begin?

Admittedly, it’s been almost a year since I’ve last updated the blog & even as I write this, I feel a bit letdown. — Letdown with myself that is. Letdown that I allowed this space to sit stagnant after almost 14 years of consistent posts & sharing what we’re all here for: fashion.

But if I’m being honest, that’s partially why. After creating a space to simply showcase my personal style while in college, the world of blogging has done a complete 180. What was once a hobby for myself & so many others has blossomed into full-time careers for many of my fellow comrades in the space but for me, it hasn’t.

Now don’t get me wrong.

By no means am I lamenting about not a full-time content creator; those days are far behind me. However I’d be lying if I said that my outlook on the content creation space hasn’t changed because it has & it’s everything due to my relationship with Christ.

What was once a space where I’d freely share what I’m wearing, trends I’m loving & what’s next on my luxury wishlist now feels seemingly unfulfilling & borderline reckless.

Now I’m certainly not to say that those things don’t still exist, because they do, but there’s also a new level of responsibility & stewardship the Lord is entrusting me with & it has absolutely nothing to do with these tangible, fleeting things, as cute as they may be.

So here we are, almost a year later & with the rise of Substack & what seems to be the re-emergence of old school blogging, I thought it was time to share where I’m at with my online presence both here & across all the other platforms.

My assignment is the share the Lord. Period. Point. Blank. And whether that be through fashion, food or fitness, the goal remains the same: Christ & Christ alone.

I won’t make any promises as to what I’ll be sharing next and/or how consistent I’ll even be here but just know, there’s been a shift in my priorities & though I’ll always be a fashion girlie, the assignment far exceeds bags, shoes & clothes, as cute as they may be!
