If you follow me on IG or have seen me in “real life” then it should come of no surprise that I’ve been really into dad sandals. What started out as something I didn’t think I could pull off has quickly become an obsession so much so that these were practically the only shoes I wore while in New York.

They’re definitely not everyone’s cup of tea but for me, they’re all I could ask for in a shoe. They’re comfortable, give me a little extra height, pair well with practically everything and most importantly, were scored at 75% off.

And though summer is coming to an end, you can rest assured this will be making their way back into my life next s/s season.

Yellow Eyelet Dress

How we’re already at the end of July is beyond me but here in the Bay, the weather is just now starting to heat up. I’ve been on a major dress craze as of late and this yellow eyelet number from H&M is hands-down one of my favorites. It’s perfect for the warmer weather but can also be worn with mules and sneakers come fall.

And while speaking of crazes, my headband collection is growing by the minute. I have five at the moment and who’s to say that won’t double come fall. -Covers face in shame.- The one I’m wearing is a $6 buy from Amazon which is an awesome balance to the Prada one I got my hands on which was nearly $300. Needless to say, headbands have quickly become my thing and will undoubtably make more appearances on the blog.

My New(ish) Approach to Blogging

My new approach to blogging is simple: I take my pictures on my phone, edit them on my phone and yeah, I’m pretty much done! I’m at the place with my brand where I no longer stress about having things perfect or better yet, APPEAR perfect. My desire these days is to simply share what I’m wearing with the intention of inspiring you to dress and feel your best.

So corny but so true!

Now this isn’t to say I won’t ever whip out my fancy SLR but as of today, my Canon has taken a much needed break. And for those wondering what I DO use? I have a regular-degular iPhone 7+ that’s been dropped in water more times than I can count. I use one, that’s right, ONE app to edit my all pictures and it’s FREE-99!

And though it may seem small change, finding a new way to photograph and edit my pictures -for the moment at least- has actually been a huge feat. I longer stress about camera settings, meticulous lighting or which app does what when all I want to do is brighten and sharpen! So if you’re in my shoes or should I say, the shoes I USED to be in, I suggest figuring out a new way to continue what you enjoy using the easiest and most mobile-friendly tools possible!

Poshmark Pick-Ups

I’ve made it a point over the past few months to familiarize myself more with thrifting and second-hand shopping. While recently browsing Poshmark, -which by the way, if you’re not following MY Poshmark closet, you can do so here-, I came across these Chloe ‘Suzanna’ boots. I’d seen this particular style several times in the past but I knew I’d never pay retail. I went back-and-forth for about two weeks -even making and cancelling a few offers- due to them being a size too big but in the end, I got get them and for 75% off!

They’re in amazing condition probing me to have the leather soles reinforced and I must say, they’re easily one of my best buys this year. I plan on styling them with dresses throughout summer then with skirts and chunky knits come fall. Definitely a purchase I’ll have for years to come.
