Remain into spring
Spring is officially 5 days away but here in the Bay, it’s very much still giving cold & rainy. I scored this Remain Birger Christensen coat back in December (2021) for around 60% off & needless to say, it’s one of my favorite cold-weather coats. And just colorful enough, its tweed-texture gives me the winter feels I love without being overly wintery.
Paired w/ my new favorite denim boots, my Brandon Blackwood trunk bag & an easy loungewear set, I can’t express how happy I am w/ the way this look turned out.
I wasn’t sure if pairing denim boots w/ sweats would work but it came out better than I imagined & you can rest assured I’ll be re-working this combo in the coming future.
Thanks for stopping by & be on the lookout as I’ll be sharing my must-have denim pieces for spring in the next post!

Log off
One thing to know about me sis, I’mma log off. And after two months (and one day if we’re being exact) from Youtube, Instagram & every other platform for that matter, I’m reminded yet again of the power and importance of logging off & enjoying life. — Real, life.
Now if you’re new around there, then you might not have known that for the last two years, I’ve taken extended breaks from all things social media from Christmas to mid-to-late February. And let me just say, it does wonders for the mind, the body and you guessed it, the soul too.
As much as I’ve enjoyed creating content over the last 10+ years,— s/o to the ones that have been w/ me since my Howard days,— I’ve come to hit many walls, particularly in the last 3-to-4 when it came to my personal creativity and my dimming tolerance of certain fashion content.
And not for nothing, but the temporal freedom from creating, editing, sharing, linking, replying and everything else that comes content creation felt like a bliss that I was too often trying to grab ahold of while simultaneously, the idea itself was constantly on the flee.
My love of clothes & sharing my personal style have always been at the forefront of every blog post, YouTube video, Instagram caption and yes, even my stories too but I’ve often found myself distracted by everyone else doing the same thing. Yet, on a grander scale and (seemingly) reaping a bigger-and-better harvest than myself.
And by no means am I saying that God hasn’t opened a myriad of doors and opportunities for my brand because listen, He most CERTAINLY has! But I’d also be lying if I said I haven’t found myself playing the comparison game to that of my counterparts and asking God, “When and why not me?”
However, while that million-dollar question yet remains unanswered, I strongly believe God has lead me to take extended breaks from social media to dive deeper into His word, His presence, and ultimately, be reminded that everything remains in His control and as always, will work together for my good. —Even when I can’t see or understand it.
Cut Out
It’s pretty safe to say that Christopher Esber has quickly become a favorite amongst the fashion masses. Launched in Sydney, Australia, this namesake label has built a reputation of contemporary, sophisticated pieces, many-of-which showcasing the duality & sensuality of cut-outs for the modern day woman.
I scored this dress last summer for around 70% off (last seen here) & upon receiving it, I knew it’d be a piece I’d have for years to come.
It’s modest & classic in design yet a bit sexy, not something I’m traditionally into, due to the cropped sweater, exposed sides & lace-up ties which are permanently attached to the skirt.

If you’ve been eyeing anything Christoper Esber, I highly recommend taking the plunge. And though the sticker price may be a bit of a shock, I’ve linked several pieces here that are perfect for fall & currently on major sale!
