— suited
I’m sure we go on tangents-for-days about our collective love affair w/ all things menswear. And if you’re new around these parts, then you might not know just how much of a tangent I mean.
Over the years, my style has progressively become more in-tune with and inspired by menswear & because of that, I’ve learned what pieces seamlessly fit into my wardrobe that breed maximum ease with minimal effort.
Be it suiting, sweaters, bottoms or button-ups, shopping in the men’s section is a skill I’ve fine-tuned & finally feel like I’ve become fairly good at. — This pinstripe suit is case-in-point.
On one of my many thrifting excursions, I came across this suit & instantly knew it’d be mine. It was in great condition, didnt have that nauseating “thrift store” smell & cost a whopping $15 flat.
As soon I got it home, I opted to crop the blazer as it was a bit too oversized for the look I was going for & looking back on it, I have not a single regret.

If you’re anything like me appreciate a good menswear moment but don’t want to break-the-bank, I implore to hit up the men’s section at your local thrift store. Yes it take a bit of time, patience & elbow grease to sift through the unadulterated clutter, but the gems are priceless & this suit was well worth it.

sheer + leather
Zara blazer. Tibi skirt. Vintage clutch. Tory Burch sunglasses. Charles + Keith boots. || Tap to shop my look.
To know me is to know I’m not much of an all-black wearer & though it’s important to have certain pieces in black: the LBD, a black blazer, the perfect black bag, etc, black isn’t necessarily a go-to hue for me.
However, when I scored this sheer Tibi skirt on major sale, I couldn’t help but create this all-black moment. — For me, the key was to create a look that showcased multiple textural elements, I.E., sheer, leather & metallic, that in the end, broke-up the usual monotony of an all-black outfit & I must admit, I’m very much so into it.

Trenched
I recently shared in ep. 1 of ‘Behind the Look’, a new mini series I’ve introduced on my YouTube channel, just how much I love this look.
I’ll leave you to watch the video to get all the styling details but in a nutshell, I scored this trench-style dress after months of eyeing it & it’s easily one of the best purchases I’ve made this year.

— Big red
Needless to say, red is unquestionably the color of the season & admittedly, I’m VERY into it & if you caught my latest haul, then you already know about these Zara otk boots.
After regrettably passing-up on these a few years ago, I recently scored them on EBay & I couldn’t be happier. They’re the perfect heel height, fit comfortably over my legs & though bold in color, they’re actually quite easy to style.
I opted to keep the look simple & paired the boots back to a thrifted men’s button-up & my Cèline ID necklace & bracelet because, how could I not?
And because we’re all having a moment w/ red, I’m sharing a few of my favorite red pieces over on my LTKI page.
Enjoy! xX — C.
