“Did every woman in Manhattan wake up one morning and decide to buy a leopard-print midi skirt?” Leopard Midi Skirt (IG)
It seems to be that ‘florals for spring’ is no longer a thing according to today’s stylish millennial. I initially splurged on the cult-favorite Realisation Par ‘Wild Things’ skirt last fall -you can see how I styled it on IG- and though I still love it, I couldn’t resist grabbing this one from H&M back in March. I make it a point not to have too many ‘same-but-different’ pieces in my wardrobe but this one was just too good to pass up.
For $25, the price was perfect and the fit is even better. It hugs in all the right places but also conceals the areas I prefer not to showcase. And because it’s not silk like its RP counterpart, I’m free to wear it without the fear of somehow ripping or staining it. Sadly it’s no longer available but I’m loving this one for under $60.
I love boilersuits. I mean, besides having to get completely naked to use the bathroom, boilersuits have slowly become a wardrobe favorite when I can’t think to put anything together or am simply having an “I don’t have anything to wear!” moment.
I scored this particular one last fall from & Other Stories and though I did have to get a few inches hemmed, it was well worth it. I styled it with chunky trainers while in Paris and now with sandals as we ease into summer. And though I’ll have to put it away shortly -it’s a pretty heavy denim-, it’s a staple I’m happy to have in my wardrobe.
Yes, you read that correctly. I’m into bike shorts and feel no type of way about it. I was a little apprehensive about the trend when it first popped up last s/s and didn’t share any OOTDs featuring them because I wasn’t sure if they were “me.” But after a few mini style sessions in my closet, I quickly came to realize that they’re EXACTLY me. Comfortable, easy to style and can be dressed up or down at any given moment!
I was kindly sent this pair from ASOS which I now think are sold out -and for good reason- but I’ve linked a few styles belowI think you’ll love. That is of course if you’re into the bike short thing. -C.
I can’t tell you the last time I wore or purchased a pair of high heels. After having foot surgery, I swore up-and-down that I was no longer going to force myself to wear shoes or anything for that matter that I did’t feel 100% comfortable in. -And yes, I’m still sticking to it.- But fast forward to a month ago when I saw these beauties on Farfetch and immediately added them to my wishlist in hopes of them going on sale. Welp, they did and let me just say, I’m OBsessed!
Not only are they crazy comfortable but I love the minimal design and aesthetic. And though pvc and toe ring details are a big trend at the moment, this is definitely a shoe I know will stand the test of time with my personal style. Now they have gone back up to full price -you can ask Farfetch about that- however, Net-A-Porter also has them and I’m pretty sure they’ll go on sale during sale season. I also recommend sizing up as they’re made in Italy and run small. But other than that, BOMB!
